Welcome to ZenStream. By downloading, installing, or using our browser extension and website, you agree to comply with and be bound by the following Terms of Service. Please review them carefully.
1. Description of Service
ZenStream (a project by SummerLabs) provides a browser extension designed to mute volume and accelerate playback speed during commercial advertisements detected on third-party video streaming platforms. The service is provided on a "Free Starter" tier with daily usage caps or a "Pro Lifetime Pass" tier with unlimited usage.
2. Third-Party Dependency & Disclaimer
IMPORTANT: ZenStream operates by interacting locally with the document structure (DOM) and video player scripts of third-party streaming websites. You acknowledge and agree to the following:
- No Control Over Third Parties: We have no control over the design, engineering, player architecture, security configurations, or access rules of third-party streaming websites.
- Functionality Blockage Risk: Third-party websites may modify their player code, video delivery mechanisms, CSS class structures, or terms of service at any time. Such updates may temporarily or permanently disrupt ZenStream’s ability to detect, mute, or accelerate ads.
- Updates & Fixes: While SummerLabs will make commercially reasonable efforts to update the extension selectors and configuration rules to restore functionality post-website updates, we make no promise, guarantee, or warranty that updates will be successful or that continuous service will be maintained.
3. Definition of "Lifetime" License
The purchase of a "Pro Lifetime Pass" grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access the Pro features of the ZenStream extension. The term "Lifetime" refers exclusively to the operational lifespan of the ZenStream product itself as maintained by SummerLabs, and is subject to termination if external platform changes render the product technically unfeasible to maintain.
4. Fair & Allowed Use
ZenStream is intended strictly for personal, non-commercial use. You agree not to copy, decompile, redistribute, modify, or resell the extension code or database endpoints. We reserve the right to revoke license access (without refund) to any account found violating these conditions or sharing packages systematically with third parties.
5. Limitation of Liability
In no event shall SummerLabs, its founders, or operators be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use or inability to use ZenStream. This includes, but is not limited to, browser crashes, computer malfunctions, loss of service, account restrictions, or blocks imposed by external streaming platforms due to ad blocking or acceleration behaviors.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties
ZenStream is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without any warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.
7. Changes to Terms
We reserve the right to revise these Terms of Service at any time. Continued use of the product following terms revisions constitutes your acceptance of the updated conditions.
